At University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust we want to recruit a large number of Domestic Assistants to our Temporary Staffing Bureau to create a bank of temporary workers who are keen to work flexibly in various assignments across our different hospital sites in central Bristol.

Your day to day duties will include:

  • General cleaning Duties within designated areas, including cleaning of toilets and bathrooms on a daily basis. Vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of surfaces and mopping of floors to the standard stated in the cleaning specification for the area
  • The cleaning of beds and re-making with clean linen
  • Collect clinical and non-clinical waste and dirty linen and take it to the designated collection point
  • Receipt and regeneration of cook-chill food according to specification
  • The distribution of meals to patients, with attention given to the Presentation of the meals in an attractive manner

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
